چکیده

Selectively perceiving systems explore their environment by fixating on and analyzing potentially interesting parts of a scene in a continual manner. During this process, a sequence of snapshots each containing visual data with distinct spatio-temporal properties is collected. In this paper, we propose a visual memory model that enables the integration of this spatio-temporal data. This memory model referred to as the bubble model uses a spherical surface attached to the viewpoint in order to store and manipulate information collected during selective perception process. The bubble surface can be deformed by a number of control points to represent visual information obtained from different fixation points. Bubbles are indexed by the viewpoint vectors so that they can be recalled or updated as necessary. Different bubbles attached to the same viewpoint can store multiple simple and complex features. Using time stamps and parametric surface representations the model can also be used to extract changes and similarities in the environment.

T-S FUZZY MODEL-BASED MEMORY CONTROL FOR DISCRETE-TIME SYSTEM WITH RANDOM INPUT DELAY

A memory control for T-S fuzzy discrete-time systems with sto- chastic input delay is proposed in this paper. Dierent from the common assumptions on the time delay in the existing literatures, it is assumed in this paper that the delays vary randomly and satisfy some probabilistic dis- tribution. A new state space model of the discrete-time T-S fuzzy system is derived by introducing some stocha...

Binding objects to cognition: A brain-like systems approach to the cognitive control of visual perception

We describe a brain-like approach for the cognitive control of visual perception and present the first simulation results. We first describe how working memory is a key process in visual perception, allowing perception to be linked to action through time. We list the different challenges of this approach and propose a computational model of perirhinal cortex that allows memory retrieval in mnem...

A New WordNet Enriched Content-Collaborative Recommender System

The recommender systems are models that are to predict the potential interests of users among a number of items. These systems are widespread and they have many applications in real-world. These systems are generally based on one of two structural types: collaborative filtering and content filtering. There are some systems which are based on both of them. These systems are named hybrid recommen...

Effects of exercise programs: working memory exercise, rhythmic movements and combination of both (working memory and rhythmic) on selective attention, and working memory in children with Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

Background: Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder cause significant problems in academic performance, cognitive, social, emotional, developmental issues for many students and then in adulthood for their occupational and familial function. In the absence of treatment, the children are prone to develop psychological and social injuries in adulthood. On the other hand, there is a wealth of evid...
